You have not received your password

1It rarely happens that certain new members, following sending the membership form, or certain members who request password renewal, never receive the expected email.

It can come from:

  1. Wrong email address: you made a mistake during the entry = renew your membership.
  2. Bogus email address: sometimes some thugs use a bogus email address, of course it can't work!
  3. Spam problem: Supplier spam filters are getting more stringent = follow the instructions below.

Look in your spam

The first thing to do is to go to the spam directory of your mailbox to search for an email sent by  membership.afmb.bike @gmail.com  or  afmb.bike @gmail.com  which are the email addresses we use to send emails, and which is too often blocked by internet service providers.

I never received my password: how do I get it?

If in the 5 minutes following your subscription or password renewal request you have not received anything from membership@ afmb.bike, contact us directly on  afmb.bike @gmail.com

How do I change my spam filter?

Depending on the email (gmail, hotmail, etc.) or the email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) the procedure may vary, but we often find the same principles, of which here are the main ones to ensure that the messages sent by the AFMB are no longer classified as spam/unwanted by your email:

  1. Add the addresses  membership@ afmb.bike et  afmb.bike @gmail.com in the “private” part of the “address book” of your email or email client.
  2. Modify your filtering rules : go to “settings” then select the “filtering rules” function (or equivalent) to explicitly declare that any message that contains the word AFMB or sent from the email address membership@ afmb.bike ou  afmb.bike @gmail.com  should no longer be considered spam. Some mailboxes have a button that allows a simple click to declare the sender of the message as unwanted or acceptable: if you have this function, use it because it should be enough to solve the problem.

You can also search for additional documentation to help you:

  1. Firstly, use the documentation provided by your email (in its “help” section);
  2. If you do not find it, then you have the solution to go and find this documentation on the internet:
    • Go to your favorite search engine;
    • Type the following search: “XXX edit spam filter" Or XXX is the name of your provider (gmail, hotmail, etc.) or email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.), for example: “gmail edit spam filter"
  3. You can also seek help from your provider's hotline.

Why does my email spam filter reject messages sent by the AFMB?

Faced with the proliferation of messages (spam) intended primarily to annoy end users and saturate operators' networks and servers, the latter have implemented draconian health measures in order to drastically reduce these messages, with blacklists (lists of blocked addresses) and spam filters.

Knowing this, it is up to everyone to adapt their level of filters against spam: each operator offers a default filtering level and a setting of this level to be more permissive or less permissive. Then, if this is not enough, then you must modify your current filtering or add a filter rule in the first position which says not to spam any message that contains the word AFMB (this is the simplest rule).

Some members criticize us for this spamming, but we can't do anything about it, and the proof is that for the same messaging operator, for example gmail, we have thousands of members who receive our messages without problem and only some who do not receive them. Likewise, more and more of your messages arrive at us classified as spam by our operator's filters.

I don't know how to modify my filtering rules

In order not to block you, and only for opening your access and renewing the password when you have lost it, we detect the rejection of our message by your mailbox and send the message back to you from a gmail account specially open for this purpose.

But this troubleshooting solution is manual, which can take up to 24/48 hours depending on our availability and provided that your operator has notified us of the rejection of the message that we sent you.

So be patient… and ask for help adapting your spam filter.
